be here now
(español) Estar Aqui Ahora
As socialized beings who grew up in a Westernized Culture, we learn from early age that we need to keep up with the fast pace of Industrial Growth Society through becoming, doing and performing more.
Coperate controlled advertisement makes us believe that we need to consume more stuff in order to fill the inner void.
We are made to believe that we need more of everything.
More products, a longer to do list to feel that we can keep up with the fast pace, the illusion that we need to fly across the Atlantic Ocean to fill a sense of adventure.
‘The first world consumer habits are one of the two most serious environmental issues the world faces.’ (..) (Roszak, Gomes & Kanner, 1995).
Advertisement creates artificial needs within people to keep the market running, which directly conflicts with people’s capacity to form a satisfying relationship with the natural world. In 2007 the average person was exposed to approximately 5000 ads per day, which nearly doubled up to 6000-10000 in 2021 (Carr, 2021).
Especially in urban areas, being soaked into this narrative of ‘the more, the better’, is at times bending us, pushing us to our outer limits, pushing us over our limits, leading us to burn out.
This narrative is polluting the planet and its inhabitants!
As capitalism benefits from our inattention& distraction, we can reclaim our inner abundance and our capacity for being present in the moment - Be Here Now.
Because what the soul truly longs for is found within, in intimacy with the moment, right here, right now.
In intimacy with the earth that teaches you her sensory voice.
Each moment a new breath, a taste, another opportunity to feel life in its fullest.

What can you smell while lying in a grass field that is covered in flowers?
What is the texture of the soil you are touching with your bare feet?
What does it sound like when the raindrops hit the forest leaves?
Do you taste the freshness of the air as you take a deep breath?
Look there, do you see the sunlight filtering through the branches?

Abundance to explore in the World of Nature when you allow yourself to surrender to the Here and Now.
Let this moment stimulate your core deeply and make you wake up to the wonders of this world. So.. BE HERE NOW.
